Up to date

Hi everyone,
I have been very lucky and was invited to stay with Bunny and Ko last night (Tony's sister and brother-in-law)
They have internet and so i have been able to get on and up date.

We have spen t the last week in Nebraska and South Dakota. We atayed at Niobrara State Park. IT was amazing. LOts of deer, turkeys, birds, etc. Carol and I went for a walk along one of the trails and saw some rabbits but not much more...but we also saw a catlike thing crawling along in the brush off to one side. Tony thinks it could have been a mountain lion. IT was a beautiful walk. We found some feathers that we took back to Tony and he was very impressed as they were from a bird called the Yellow striker. Apparently it is a sacrid bird and the feathers can be used to put curses on others or to bless them.

I have collected so much stuff that I have had to send home already.
I found some beautiful blankets and bags at an Indian casino.

We spent lasdt 2 days in South Dakota. The first at Kenny's and last night here at Bunny's.

Today we are headed towards Rosebud reservation so that Mark can visit some people he knows there.
We will drop him there and head for the Badlands and he will catch up. We are going to see the Crazy Horse monument and hopefully wounded knee (Tony wont go there and I cant blame him but perhaps Carol will go) and maybe Mount Rushmore. After that on to Yellowstone. We will be visiting a plavce called Bear World there that rehabilitated injured and orphaned bears and cubs. I cant wait. Apparently there should be wild Moose, Elk, Deer, Cogars, Mountain Lions, Racoons etc at Yellowstone so hopefully some good pics.

It has been very difficult trying to get good pics thru the windows of the car as we zip along the hwys at 75miles and hour. You are not allowed to stop along the edges.

We have missed so many good shots cause you dont have toime to get the pic focussed before its gone.

The rest rooms are absolutely amazing. every 50 or so miles there is a pull off area at the side of the hwy with the most amazing reat rooms. All are spotlessly clean.

Anyway on that note I have to go... will write as soon as possible...
Miss you all... love you MORE!!!

Rosemaree & Mal.
